Craziness

Well the day after school got out we (my family) went back east for a week. We got home at midnight (ish) Sunday, June 14th. At about 9 the next morning I left for EFY with my cousins. Whew! What a way to kick off the summer. It was so great. I don't have any pictures from EFY yet, but I should have some later on. Here are some from our trip back east:

The journey begins :)

Nate and Elizabeth in the grove. How precious :)

Wow. 'Nuff said.

The Susquehanna River.

The monument at the Susquehanna River (where Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery received the Aaronic Priesthood and baptized each other!)

Thomas Jefferson...A statue of him.

The Kirtland Temple.

Nate striking a pose in front of the Newel K. Whitney Store. This is where Joseph Smith taught the school of the prophets!

Angel Moroni on the Hill Cumorah. Awesome.

The Sacred Grove. Incredible.

JFK's headstone.

Honest Abe Lincoln. And Elizabeth. Thumbs Up.

How we all felt at the end of the trip. :)

Lucky. Sounds like a super fun trip! I can't wait until we go to Nauvoo, I think we'll see a few of the same things you did on the way there or back.....we're driving and it will be interesting. I hope we'll at least go to the Sacred Grove and Adam-Ondi-Ahmen.

Awesome! I'm so glad you had that opportunity! And, thanks for sharing the pictures. I LOOOVED the Sacred Grove, and the Kirtland stuff. Bery specual. Ha! I was trying to multi-task, and wasn't watching, or thinking very clearly as I typed that. It was supposed to say, "Very special."

Can't thank you enough for giving us a glimpse of your vacation. Great pictures. You're good at capturing the mood. You're just plain good.

When I said "I hope we go to the Sacred Grove", what I meant was: "I'd love to go to the Sacred Grove." Because the Sacred Grove is far, far away from Nauvoo. Duh. I was talking to someone and typing at the same time. Oops. :)
